CBC Marketing Consultancy

CBC marketing consultancy has been established by the Dutch marketing specialist, adventurer and film director Willem Tijssen on the request of Dutch/Bonairean business consultants. Willem left The Netherlands in 2001 to explore new challenges in West Africa. Since then he visits Guinea, Bissau, Liberia and Sierra Leone frequently. Not only the cities but mainly the bush areas. In Sierra Leone and Liberia Willem owns some diamond mining concessions and runs a consultancy firm in Liberia with former minister of finance Mr. John Bestman. Before he was owner and CEO of EEC Events B.V., a Dutch event company that worked mainly for clients such as Swatch International, Nike Europe, Euro Disney, Super Channel and MTV. Presently Willem is writing a screenplay and a television documentary script on the life of the former charismatic Liberian rebel-president-dictator Charles Ghankey Taylor. Willem is not a stranger on Bonaire. In 2003, during a 3 month visit, he filmed a documentary for the Hand in Hand Conference and developed a Digital Bonaire Marketplace at the Internet.

BRIEF HISTORY

From 1985 till 2001 Willem's company EEC Events was absolute market leader in European-wide roadshow projects and continued these activities in the West African market. After a sabbatical year in 2001 Willem developed brand new concepts, prepared the release of two books (a biography and Stechovice Treasure) and started the marketing and handling of consular assistance for various West African Republics. Based on a German script, EEC Africa started working on the 'Prag Connection' a screenplay around the hiding and excavation of the media-project STECHOVICE TREASURE, and got involved in other Media Projects such as JELLE TAEKE DE BOER (the biggest Art Find of the 20th Century), AFRICA PEACECUP, LION OF AFRICA (Statue of Peace), and the establishment of the AFRICA FOOTBALL ACADEMY. Apart from this the company also developed a blueprint how to recover the Rigid Airship Design concept into a feasible AIRSHIP HOLLAND project: the Global Disaster Navigator, a relief craft for humanitarian organizations (earthquakes - tsunamis - other disasters).
