N'Zérékoré ligt in zuidwest Guinée (Guinée Woud) is het woongebied van de Guerzé of Kp1člč, de Manon, Konon and Malinké
(Mandingo) volken. De eerste drie volken zijn katholiek. N'Zérékoré is de tweede grootste stad van Guinée.
In het museum vlakbij het stadion, zijn 3.200 kunstobjecten te zien en is een 'must' voor bezoekers.
De bron van de N'Zele (N'Zali) rivier, die achter de gevangenis langs loopt, maakt geen impossante indruk. Toch is zij de
bron voor een hardnekkige legende. Een ernstig zieke jager dronk van de bron en werd onmiddelijk beter. Hij richtte later
N'Zérékoré op en volgens velen waart zijn geest nog steeds rond. De bron is sindsdien een bedevaartoord voor zieken en
gehandicapten. N'Zérékoré is de Franse vertaling van N'Zalikole wat volgens velen "nabij mijn medicijn" betekent of
"aan de oevers van de rivier".
N'Zerekore is located in southwest Guinea (Guinea Forest) and is the habitat of the Guerzé or Kpčlč, the Manon, Konon and Malinke

The source of the N'Zele (N'Zali) river, which runs along behind the prison, is not impressive yet it is the
a persistent source for legends. A seriously ill hunter drank from the source and was immediately cured. He later
founded N'Zerekore and many believe his goast is still around. The source has since been a pilgrimage for the sick and
disabled. According to many, N'Zerekore the French translation of N'Zalikole, means "close to my medicine" or
"on the banks of the river".
